The All Progressives Congress (APC) suffered another setback in Osun State as thousands of its members decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oriade Local Government over the weekend.

The decampees led by a Financial Expert, Dr. Wale Bolorunduro asserted that their decision is hinged on the many failures of the APC led government in the State.

The former Commissioner for Finance described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a party of deceit that has nothing good to offer the people of Osun State.

Describing his former party as a party full of deceit, Dr Bolorunduro said he began to suspect the party when he discovered that the party has nothing to offer the people of Osun than vague promises.

Bolorunduro, who served in the administration of Aregbesola’s first term said, “My followers and I are defecting today (Saturday) to the PDP because it is the party for the progressives. It is a party that is transparent and not deceitful as the former party I was.

“I left APC because my glory was being covered and my contributions trampled upon. APC is full of deceit. There is nothing called progressivesm in that party.”

Receiving him and his followers to the fold of PDP, the caretaker Chairman, Dr Adekunle Akindele, described the former Commissioner as a man whose leadership cannot be wished away. Akindele however encourage others who are still contemplating either to join the PDP or not to do so in the interest of the State, noting that the outgoing government of Mr Oyetola has wrecked havoc on the State.

Speaking, the Governor-Elect, Sen. Ademola Adeleke welcomed the decampees to the PDP, he promised that his government will be all inclusive. He reassure the people of Osun that he will leave no stone unturned.

Other dignitaries who present at the event are, Dr Muyiwa Oladimeji, Hon. Sunday Bisi, Barr. Kolapo Alimi, Barrister Niyi Owolade, Rev’d Bunmi Jenyo, Hon. Bayo Ogungbangbe, Mrs Eniola Omotosho, Hon. Areola, Hon. Ebenezer Adeniji, just to mention a few.
